Day 3
This morning you will wake up in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Garmisch
is a beautiful Alpine village nestled in the middle of the German Alps.
It is here that we will focus on our leadership training material while
enjoying the unique aspects of our temporary home. This afternoon
you'll visit the Zugspitze mountain - the hightest
peak in the German Alps - and ride the steepest cable car in Europe to
the top! You can then opt for skiing, sledding or snowboarding for the
afternoon.
Day 4
Today our leadership training will continue. In the afternoon you will enjoy a visit to the site of the 1932 Winter Olympic Games - the very games which were presided over by Adolf Hitler. Then we'll tackle an absolutely goregous gorge hike followed by some shopping in the city-center of Garmisch.
Day 5
After our leadership training sessions, you will enjoy shopping a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle. This catle, which was the model for the castle at Disney World, was the home of Mad King Ludwig. We'll hear stories of his life and tour the castle.
Day 6
On our last full day in Europe, we will head over to Salzburg, Austria, (2.5 hours bus ride) and spend the day in the beautiful area that was the setting for The Sound of Music and the birthplace of composer, Mozart.
We will enjoy a walking tour of the city and its beautiful sights
including the cathedral where Mozart was baptized and the mighty Fortress of Salzburg.
There will also be a number of fascinating Christmas markets set up for
our enjoyment! After a day of touring and shopping, we'll have dinner
and head back to Munich for our final evening and a recap of our trip!
