GCA Sr. Leadership Conference:

Day 1 (April 10)

US Group Departs for Europe!

Day 2 (April 11)

Group arrives in Florence, Italy. The program director, Dr. Johnson, will be waiting for you on the other side of customs and immigration! After checking into our hotel, we'll enjoy a walking tour of Florence including Giotto's Bell Tower, the Gates of Paradise and the massive Duomo (the Cathedral of Florence). The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance.  Whether you climb the 400 steps to the top of the Duomo or shop in the markets of Florence, you're sure to have an unforgettable day.

Day 3 (April 12)

After Breakfast, we will head over to the Galleria Academia, the home of the world's most famous sculpture, Michelangelo's David. Then it's off to the Ponte Vecchio, a bridge so beautiful, that the Germans wouldn't even destroy it during World War 2. The afternoon is yours to enjoy shopping in Florence. Following dinner we will hike up to the top of Michelangelo's Piazza for a spectacular night view of Florence.

Day 4 (April 13)

After breakfast we will journey down to the eternal city: Rome! After checking into our hotel, we'll take the metro to the city center and spend time at the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Capuchin Crypt (a place where the bones of dead monks are now used as decorations!)- one of the creepiest sites on our program, but we will connect it to one of the most important lessons for a new generation of leaders! After dinner, our conference, "Who Let the Dogs Out?" will begin at the hotel.

Day 5 (April 14)

After breakfast, our leadership training course continues. Then we'll head to Rome's city center to enjoy a day of viewing incredible sites! We'll visit the 2000 year old Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus, and the ancient Roman Forum (the home of the republican form of government. Before dinner, we'll visit the Pantheon, the former pagan temple and one of Rome's oldest buildings.  After dinner we will visit a gelato (ice-cream) shop that boasts more than 100 flavors! Back at the hotel, our training program continues.

Day 6 (April 15)

After breakfast, we will finish our conference - and hopefully you will understand yourself and others better than ever before! Then we travel to Vatican City and visit St. Peter's Basilica. A highlight of our day will be going through the Vatican Museum and seeing the Sistine Chapel, home of Michelangelo's Last Judgment and other masterful works. In the afternoon, you will enjoy shopping on via del Corso, before our final dinner and a recap at hotel.

Day 7 (April 16)

Homeward bound!

Leadership Training: "Who Let the Dogs Out?" Your ability to lead others will only be as good as your ability to read and understand people. This course will help you identify yourself as a Pit Bull, Beagle, Golden Retriever or Dalmatian. More importantly we will spend time developing your skills of profiling and reading other breeds. You'll learn how to recognize the different breeds out there and adjust your interaction style to increase your effectiveness as a people influencer!
